Reviews about Glenroy Veterinary Clinic

  • We have been seeing Dr Tim with our poodle for 6 years now. Always gives great service and sensible advice. When our dog needed knee surgery he referred us to a specialist he knew. Knows how to look after his patients and clients.

Took me almost a year to write this because I am still traumatised by it. Near Christmas day 2016, the veterinarian misdiagnosed my cat with a sore stomach and he died the next day. Thinking it was just his stomach playing up but still concerned I drove him to another vet but he had a heart attack along the way due to the poisoning of a blocked bladder. He breathed his last right next to me. The veterinarian who tried her best to rescuscitate him confirmed that he should have been operated on immediately and not with a single fever shot and drops of antibiotics. Don't go here if you love your pets. He handles them roughly and some reviewers will tell you that it's fine to do so because it's "old school style". Don't go here because this vet is cheaper than others, because cheaper definitely doesn't mean better. Edit: I had been to Glenroy vet clinic a few months before the fatal misdiagnosis and I was quite displeased with how he handled my cat then. My manager who used to regularly go to Dr Tim for her dogs assured me that it was his 'style' and I let it go. The day of misdiagnosis was when my partner brought him in as he was feeling ill and confirmed the equally as rough treatment. My manager told me she can no longer bring her pets to Glenroy Vet Clinic after hearing of my tragedy.

Not a fan of this vet. His go to is antibiotics even if he thinks your dog has a virus or a blockage. He does offer practical advice but he is not for me.

  • Dr Jenkins is an excellent Vet, really professional and friendly. I feel our puppy is getting the best of care with this clinic. Also, the pricing is very reasonable for services. Would highly recommend the clinic to anyone.
